In a Christmas Day statement, U.S. President Donald Trump fiercely criticized Democrats over the Epstein controversy, labeling it a "radical left witch hunt."
Trump stated, "Merry Christmas to all of the people that are now starting to see so much corruption in our Country. They love the pervert, they gave him unbelievable amounts of money, they went to his island, they went to his parties, they thought he was a great guy." He added, "And then when it got 'hot,' they threw him under the bus like a dog."
Last month, President Trump signed the "Epstein Files Transparency Act" ordering the release of all files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. On Friday, the Department of Justice released damning documents and photos of former President Bill Clinton, prompting Clinton's PR team to respond multiple times in an effort to shield him.
Trump's statement continued, "Just like the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax was a HOAX – A TOTAL HOAX – and it was, and nothing to do with 'Trump,' so many explanations are needed."
He also strongly condemned The New York Times, against which he filed a $15 billion defamation lawsuit in September, for its dishonest reporting. He stated, "The same losers are coming after us again. Only this time their friends, many innocent people, will be badly hurt and defamed. But sadly, that is the world of corrupt Democrat politics!!!"
He then added, "Enjoy what may be your last Christmas!"
Earlier, on Christmas Eve, December 24th, President Trump had issued a brief Christmas message denouncing "radical left garbage" that is "doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but failing miserably" and highlighting his own accomplishments.
