U.S. President Donald Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the 29th (local time) to discuss the implementation of a peace plan for Gaza.

President Trump began the meeting at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, with Prime Minister Netanyahu, who visited him that day.

On the U.S. side, participants included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Middle East Envoy Avi Berkowitz, and President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Speaking to reporters, President Trump stated, "We've already made substantial progress," adding, "We've been in meetings for about five minutes and we've already solved three major problems."

Earlier, at the entrance of the resort, President Trump greeted Prime Minister Netanyahu and told reporters, "We will move forward with the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement (Gaza Peace Plan) as quickly as possible," but added, "We must disarm Hamas."

The second phase of the ceasefire agreement includes the disarmament of Hamas, Israeli withdrawal, the establishment of a new technocratic Palestinian government, the formation of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) to be responsible for security and public order in Gaza, and the commencement of reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

When asked about the timing of the reconstruction of Gaza, President Trump replied, "It will start very soon."

The war in Gaza, which has been ongoing for over two years, saw a ceasefire achieved in October after the warring parties, Israel and Hamas, agreed to President Trump's ceasefire and peace plan, with support from most Middle Eastern countries.

However, frequent armed clashes have continued between the two sides, and the delay in implementing the ceasefire agreement has raised concerns about the possibility of renewed hostilities. Therefore, attention is focused on whether the two leaders will reach an agreement and achieve progress regarding the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire during their meeting.

Regarding Iran, President Trump warned, "I've heard that Iran is trying to rebuild (its missile program). If they do, we will take them down," and proposed that Iran engage in negotiations.

He also emphasized that if Iran resumes its nuclear weapons program, the U.S. will "attack immediately" along with Israel.

Concerning his request to Israeli President Isaac Herzog for a pardon for Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is facing trial for corruption charges in Israel, President Trump said, "He is a prime minister who is a hero during wartime. Why wouldn't I ask for it?" He added, "I spoke with the (Israeli) president and he said it is in progress."
