Park Jun-young, representative of the Freedom University, entered the night of the second day of his hunger strike in front of the west gate of the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Park, who was continuing his hunger strike amidst the severe cold, was rushed to the emergency room during the day after showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning from an oil boiler.
Ahead of President Yoon Suk-yeol's trial related to rebellion, Park has been continuing a solo hunger strike since the 7th, appealing to Judge Ji Gwi-hyeon for a fair ruling.
As seen in the slogan, "Judge Ji Gwi-hyeon, please protect our country," Park appealed, "The December 3rd martial law is not rebellion. Please do not ignore the will of the people and let the judiciary make a just ruling."
He also stated, "I chose such an extreme method as a hunger strike to raise public interest when the media is turning a blind eye."
Park said, "I remember the desperate cries of countless citizens in front of the Constitutional Court before the impeachment ruling of President Yoon Suk-yeol in the past. I wanted to convey that that desperation still exists," and urged many people to join the movement to save President Yoon.
Freedom University is a conservative organization representing the 2030 youth demographic and has publicly expressed its support for President Yoon. Its main activities include patriotic conservative rallies, anti-communist campaigns, and movements to encourage youth political participation, and it connects with young people through social media and YouTube.
