The Department of Homeland Security is actively investigating online posts calling for the lynching of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and the murder of federal agents, directed at those protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

A video recently filmed and posted by independent journalist Olivia Scastor shows many people chanting, "Kirstjen Nielsen will be lynched" and "Save lives, kill the ICE director."

"Homeland Security investigators are looking into this matter," confirmed Under Secretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans at Homeland Security, Tricia Newland, to Just The News.

These chants and investigations come in the wake of the shooting death of ICE Agent Rene Good, 37, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Good was fatally shot after using her vehicle to interfere with ICE operations. The video captured her vehicle striking agents before the agent fired their weapon.

Both the Department of Homeland Security and President Donald Trump defended the agent's actions as self-defense. Vice President J.D. Vance stated at a White House press conference on the 8th that the agent would be granted immunity afforded to federal law enforcement officers.
