The Central Ethics Committee of the People Power Party resolved to expel Han Dong-hoon on the 13th in relation to the 'party member bulletin board (Dangge) incident'.

The party's Central Ethics Committee held a meeting from 5 p.m. until late at night to discuss the disciplinary measures for former leader Han, and reached this conclusion, according to media reports.

Expulsion, which involves the revocation of party membership, is the most severe form of disciplinary action. The People Power Party's regulations specify four types of disciplinary actions: ▲ Expulsion ▲ Recommendation to withdraw from the party ▲ Suspension of party membership rights ▲ Warning.

A party official, in a phone call with Yonhap News, stated, "There are no procedural issues," hinting that the decision would not be reversed.

According to the People Power Party's regulations, expulsion of a party member is finalized after a resolution by the Central Ethics Committee and a subsequent resolution by the Supreme Council. Accordingly, the expulsion of former leader Han is expected to be finally confirmed after discussions by the Supreme Council.
