On the afternoon of the 25th (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump issued an urgent plea to end the obstruction in two posts on Truth Social.

In his plea, President Trump requested that Democratic local government leaders cooperate with federal law enforcement and urged the federal government to immediately pass legislation abolishing "Sanctuary Cities."

The full text of this plea was also shared by the White House and reads as follows:

Under the failed leadership of the corrupt Joe Biden and the Democrats, tens of millions of criminal illegal aliens have poured into our country over the past four years. This includes hundreds of thousands of murderers, rapists, kidnappers, drug dealers, and terrorists.

I won the election in a historic landslide, and the Republican Party won majorities in both the House and Senate. This is because we promised to seal our borders and did so, and we began the largest deportation of criminal illegal aliens in the history of our country.

This deportation operation is ongoing and is proceeding peacefully and smoothly thanks to local law enforcement officers who have been allowed to cooperate with federal agencies in cities and states run by Republicans.

For example, in the five Republican-run states of Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Louisiana, ICE arrested 150,245 illegal alien criminals last year. There were no protests, riots, or disturbances. Why? Because local police and ICE are cooperating and working together.

Conversely, Democrat-run so-called "Sanctuary Cities" and states refuse to cooperate with ICE and instead encourage leftist agitators to illegally obstruct ICE operations to arrest the worst criminals!

By doing so, the Democrats are prioritizing criminal illegal aliens over taxpayers and law-abiding citizens, creating dangerous situations for everyone involved. Sadly, two American citizens have lost their lives amid this chaos caused by these Democrat policies.

Therefore, I urge Governor Walz of Minnesota, Mayor Frey of Minneapolis, and all Democratic governors and mayors across America to officially cooperate with the Trump administration to enforce the nation's laws. Instead of fomenting division, chaos, and violence, and resisting, you should take the following actions:

1. Governor Walz and Mayor Frey must hand over all illegal alien criminals currently in state prisons and jails, and any illegal alien criminals with outstanding warrants or criminal records, to federal authorities for immediate deportation.

2. State and local law enforcement agencies must turn over all illegal immigrants arrested by local police to federal authorities.

3. Local police must assist federal law enforcement agencies in apprehending and detaining illegal immigrants wanted for criminal charges.

4. Democratic politicians must cooperate with the federal government to swiftly deport all criminal illegal aliens in the country to protect American citizens. In places like Memphis, Tennessee, or Washington D.C., some Democratic officials have already done so, creating safer streets for everyone.

Furthermore, I urge Congress to immediately pass legislation abolishing the "Sanctuary City" system, which is the root cause of all these problems. American cities should be safe havens only for law-abiding American citizens, not for criminal illegal aliens who have broken the nation's laws. 

All of these demands are based on common sense and will create the best environment for making America Great Again! The Trump administration is waiting for any Democrat to do the right thing and cooperate with us on these critical issues that will make America safer for all. Just as we are engaged and involved with local leaders in all the areas where we are.
