U.S. President Donald Trump [AP Yonhap News]
U.S. President Donald Trump is demonstrating his continued strength by securing a record-breaking amount of political funds.
According to the left-leaning U.S. media outlet Politico on the 1st (local time), President Trump and his allies are reported to have amassed political funds totaling $375 million (approximately 544.5 billion won).
The outlet analyzed the political fundraising status as of the end of last year, as reported by fundraising groups and politicians to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) the previous day, and reported that President Trump had secured unprecedented funds compared to any other politician.
The $375 million reported by President Trump and associated groups is four times the $95 million held by the Republican National Committee (RNC).
In contrast, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has only $14 million in available funds and $17 million in debt, putting them in a state of "deficit politics."
The New York Times (NYT), also with a left-leaning stance, reported that "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) Super PAC, operated by close associates of President Trump, holds $304 million, giving them a significant advantage over the Democratic Party.
Politico estimated that the $375 million it reported includes the MAGA Super PAC.
