Cha Kang-seok, leader of the youth group Hwarang Corps, has entered the second day of his hunger strike in front of the south building of the Jeonggok Building near the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office in Seocho-gu, Seoul, calling for unity within the conservative camp.
On the 10th, as a light rain heralded the arrival of spring, members of the Hwarang Corps and citizens, despite the chilly weather, stayed around the protest site, concerned for Cha's health.
A large banner proclaiming "President Yoon Suk-yeol's December 3rd martial law was justified" was erected in the protest area, and Cha continued his protest, relying on a vinyl tent, mat, and blankets.
Supporters stood silently watching Cha's struggle from under the tent, holding Taegeukgi flags and umbrellas in each hand.
Regarding the background of his hunger strike, Cha stated, "In a situation where the conservative right is divided, even if politicians like garbage cannot be persuaded, I have started this hunger strike with a fervent prayer that those who have come out to the streets to genuinely love their country will unite as one."

Meanwhile, Cha conveyed the following message of gratitude to the public via social media:
"I deeply thank the patriotic organizations that have joined together with a shared purpose in response to the call for solidarity in the hunger strike and filibuster. I also sincerely bow my head in gratitude to all citizens who have lent their support and encouragement from their respective positions. This action is not a rally to promote someone, but a process of demanding that the principles of constitutional order and the rule of law still live."
He added, "I will not take lightly the names of each and every organization that has shown solidarity. I will see this through with responsibility, ensuring that this place becomes a starting point for youth to re-design the language of politics, not just a monologue. Thank you once again."
