With the local elections and parliamentary by-elections in June approaching, the People Power Party is seeing a string of betrayals against the public. [Photo=Yonhap News]With the local elections and parliamentary by-elections coming up in June, I am writing this because a series of strange phenomena, in which the People Power Party betrays the public, has been occurring just months before the polls.
The Betrayal of Trusted People Power Party Lawmakers
On February 9, Kim Min-soo, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, appeared on the ‘Republic of Korea Liberty YouTube Coalition Forum’ and claimed that “you cannot win the local elections by shouting ‘Yoon Again’,” thereby throwing cold water on the patriotic citizens and liberal groups who support President Yoon.
Regarding the movement against election fraud, Kim Min-soo also dismissed the struggle—which is spreading internationally—as a futile effort, stating, “We have been calling for it for 10 years, but the base has not expanded.”
Furthermore, People Power Party lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun, in a press conference on February 16, disappointed patriots by demanding what is essentially a public apology from the President, saying, “President Yoon must have something to say to the military and police subordinates who followed his orders, the wounded public, and history.”
Does he really think the left will forgive President Yoon if he apologizes? It would only serve as evidence confirming that President Yoon himself admits to being a sinner.
That is not all. People Power Party lawmaker Kim Min-jeon also made various statements that disappointed the public, saying, “Raising the issue of election fraud is like spitting into the wind.”
One can only conclude that the refreshing actions and remarks made by Kim Min-soo, Yoon Sang-hyun, and Kim Min-jeon to satisfy the base of the conservative right were merely a strategy of hedging their bets, watching to see if President Yoon would be acquitted.
Once they realized President Yoon would be found guilty, they fully revealed their true colors and committed this betrayal just days before the first-instance sentencing.
The PPP is a Party of Traitors Who Sold Out the Administration
The People Power Party has always been a party of traitors who impeached their own party's president twice and sold out the government. The fact that even Kim Min-soo, Yoon Sang-hyun, and Kim Min-jeon—whom we considered decent—have now completely betrayed the public and President Yoon is proof that the entire party is a completely rotten cesspool.

In fact, among the 44.28 million voters, there are far more patriotic conservatives than those who support the Democratic Party of Korea. And the majority of those conservatives oppose “Yoon Again” and the election fraud. Ultimately, if there were no election fraud, the probability of the People Power Party becoming the majority party would be 100%.
Yet, Kim Min-soo, Yoon Sang-hyun, and Kim Min-jeon have, in an instant, betrayed and turned into enemies of the young people in their 20s and 30s, as well as the public, who are calling for “Yoon Again” and the eradication of election fraud. With what nerve do these people beg for public support every time an election arrives?
Still, there will be those who foolishly argue that we must win the June 3rd election to stop the tyranny of the Democratic Party. Tell me: has the People Power Party ever stopped a single one of the Democratic Party's impeachment outrages or unilateral legislative acts? They are the very people who supported and approved of the Democratic Party’s impeachment games.
Furthermore, winning local elections will change nothing. Look at the betrayal of Oh Se-hoon, who has served as the Mayor of Seoul for four terms thanks to the support of conservatives.
The same person who allowed the left to install a ‘Memorial Stone for the Founding Site of the Joseon Communist Party’ in the heart of Seoul and recite the Communist Party founding declaration in front of it is still opposing the construction of a statue of President Park Chung-hee.
If the People Power Party had done its job, the shameful history of two presidential impeachments and the usurpation of the liberal democratic government in the political history of the Republic of Korea would not exist.
The Republic of Korea is protected not by the People Power Party, but by the U.S. military and the patriotic public. Patriotic citizens, do not be deceived by rotten politicians and give them your votes again.
