The United States blew up another drug cartel vessel in the Caribbean on the 23rd (local time), killing three narco-terrorists.

"On February 23rd, the Southern Command Joint Task Force South, under the direction of Southern Command Commander General Francis L. Donovan, delivered a lethal kinetic strike against a vessel operated by a designated terrorist organization," stated Southern Command.

It was announced that, "Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting a known narco-trafficking route in the Caribbean and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations."

Southern Command added, "Three male narco-terrorists were killed as a result of this operation. There were no U.S. military casualties."

Since late 2025, over 35 narco-cartel vessels have been blown up through "Operation Southern Shield."

With the Trump administration intensifying pressure on the Maduro regime, more than 100 narco-terrorists have been killed in these airstrikes.

Meanwhile, Democrats are criticizing President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegses for the destruction of narco-cartel vessels.

President Trump, in addition to a previous memo designating fentanyl as a chemical weapon to justify attacks on narco-cartel vessels, signed an executive order last month designating fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction.

The U.S. Coast Guard has seized at least two sanctioned Venezuelan oil tankers.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses announced that due to very effective airstrikes in the Caribbean region recently, some major narco-traffickers have decided to cease all drug trafficking.

"This is deterrence through strength," Hegses said.
