The United States, which is conducting military operations against Iran, announced on the 2nd (local time) that it had sunk 11 naval vessels in the Oman Sea.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees U.S. forces in the Middle East, stated on X (formerly Twitter) that day, "Just two days ago, the Iranian regime had 11 naval vessels in the Oman Sea, but today they have ZERO."
The Oman Sea is a strategic area located along Iran's southern coast, adjacent to the Strait of Hormuz, the entrance to the Persian Gulf.
CENTCOM also released a 10-second video of ships being sunk at sea with this post.
CENTCOM said, "The Iranian regime has harassed and attacked international shipping in the Oman Sea for decades. Those days are over," and added, "Freedom of navigation on the seas has been the foundation of U.S. and global prosperity for over 80 years. The U.S. military will continue to defend it."
The United States, along with Israel, has been conducting military operations targeting Iran for three days since the 28th of last month. The objectives of this operation include eliminating Iran's missile bases, neutralizing its naval power, and preventing it from possessing nuclear weapons.
