The Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Tuesday (Monday) via a post on X that six US service members were killed during ongoing combat operations in Iran under the "Epic Fury" operation.

"As of 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on March 2, six US service members were killed," CENTCOM stated. "US forces have recovered the remains of two service members who were missing from facilities recently struck during Iran's initial attack."

The post added, "Major combat operations are ongoing. The identities of the deceased will not be released until 24 hours after their next of kin have been notified."

The Epic Fury operation has resulted in the deaths of several key leaders, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The joint military operation with Israel is expected to last several days. Officials told Fox News that Israel is targeting Iranian leadership, while the United States is targeting military objectives and ballistic missile sites posing an "imminent threat."

The Pentagon confirmed the deployment of B-2 stealth bombers equipped with 2,000-pound bombs as part of this operation.

President Trump suggested that the military operation could last about four to five weeks and indicated it could conclude sooner, noting that it is progressing faster than anticipated.

Meanwhile, CENTCOM announced late Sunday night that three US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles were shot down due to friendly fire during combat operations over Kuwait.

All six crew members aboard the fighter jets ejected safely and were rapidly rescued, confirming they are in stable condition.
