The Department of Defense has confirmed that more than 140 U.S. service members were injured in the war with Iran, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday the 10th.

Spokesperson Sean Parnell stated on the same day, "Most of the injuries are minor, and 108 soldiers have already returned to duty."

Parnell said that 8 soldiers sustained severe injuries. U.S. Central Command defines 'severe injury' as a soldier facing imminent death or likely to die from their wounds.

Seven U.S. service members were killed following attacks on Iran on February 28th, by order of President Donald Trump.

U.S. Central Command posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday the 10th, stating, "The U.S. military is degrading the Iranian regime’s ability to project naval power and disrupt international shipping," adding, "The Iranian military has for years threatened freedom of navigation in waters essential to U.S., regional, and global security and prosperity," and released a video of ships being sunk.

Previously, according to the combat results posted by the Central Command on Monday the 9th, 10 days after the launch of 'Operation Epic Fury,' U.S. forces had struck over 5,000 targets in Iran, and more than 50 Iranian ships were damaged or destroyed.
