U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 11th (local time) that the administration has identified the locations of most of Iran's secret "sleeper cells" within the United States.

Following joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes that killed several high-ranking Iranian leaders, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and weakened Iran's military, concerns have been raised about the possibility of Iranian secret terrorist organizations, or sleeper cells, operating within the United States.

President Trump told reporters on Wednesday that he had received briefings on terror alerts and threats, and mentioned reports of a planned drone attack on California. However, he warned that any terrorists currently in the U.S. could be a result of former President Joe Biden's "stupid open border policies."

"Many people have come in because of Biden's stupid open border policy, but we know where most of them are. We think we are watching all of them," President Trump said.

The President added, "They came in through the open border policies of Sleepy Joe Biden, one of the worst presidents in history. We are watching all of them."

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz have publicly warned of a heightened terror risk recently.

Earlier this month, Governor Abbott warned of the potential presence of terrorist cells in Texas following an incident where a Senegalese man fatally shot three people and injured over ten others at a bar in Austin, Texas. The shooter was reportedly wearing clothing with an Iranian flag and the phrase "property of Allah" on it.

Earlier this week, Cruz told a reporter, "The terror threat right now is extraordinarily high," referring to the Austin shooting and another suspected terror attack in New York City last weekend.

In the New York incident, two individuals were arrested for throwing an improvised explosive device, and the FBI discovered and removed explosives from a warehouse in their area of origin.

The warning of a drone attack on California has been raised since February, but law enforcement agencies have increased surveillance as Iran has threatened retaliation against Israel and the United States, according to Fox News.
