  • "Iran has long been known as a master of media manipulation and propaganda."

U.S. President Donald Trump fiercely denounced Iran and media outlets on the evening of the 15th (local time) through a lengthy social media post, accusing them of spreading "fake news" related to the war generated by artificial intelligence.

On this day, as the 'Operation Epic Fury' entered its 16th day, he wrote on Truth Social, "Iran has long been known as a master of media manipulation and propaganda. Militarily, they are powerless and weak, but they have an exceptional talent for spreading fake news."

President Trump pointed out, "Now, AI has become another tool of disinformation used by Iran. They are using it quite effectively, even as they are increasingly defeated."

He stated that the "kamikaze boats" appearing in scenes attacking ships at sea "do not exist" and that "this is merely disinformation to showcase how 'strong' the already defeated Iranian military is."

President Trump also refuted a report by The Wall Street Journal published on Saturday, which stated that five Air Force refueling aircraft at Prince Sultan Air Base were damaged by a recent Iranian missile attack but were being repaired.

He said, "According to false reports from the media, including The Wall Street Journal, the five U.S. Air Force refueling aircraft, which were reported to have been shot down and severely damaged, are all operational and one of them is scheduled to resume operations soon. The buildings and ships that appear to be burning are not actually burning. This is fake news created by artificial intelligence (AI)."

Earlier on Saturday (14th), President Trump had written in response to the Wall Street Journal report, "The base was actually attacked a few days ago, but the planes were not 'hit' or 'destroyed.' Four out of five were barely damaged and have already returned. One was slightly more damaged but will be able to fly again soon."

President Trump strongly condemned reports on Sunday that the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln had caught fire.

He wrote, "For example, Iran, in close coordination with fake news media, showed our great aircraft carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln, one of the biggest and most majestic ships in the world, burning out of control at sea. Not only was it not burning, it wasn't even fired upon. Iran is not foolish enough to do something like that! This story was deliberately fabricated, and in a sense, the media outlets that created this story should be prosecuted for treason for spreading disinformation!"

President Trump said, "In fact, Iran is completely collapsing, and the only battles they are 'winning' are those where corrupt media outlets spread fabricated facts created through artificial intelligence. The radical left-wing media knows this all too well, yet they continue to spread lies and false reports. That's precisely why their approval ratings are so low, and I was able to win the presidential election by an overwhelming margin with only 5% positive media coverage. They are not credible at all!"

He also commented on Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr's warning on Saturday that broadcasters spreading "fake news" could face disadvantages in future license renewal processes.

He added, "I was very pleased to hear that Brendan Carr, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), is reviewing the broadcasting licenses of corrupt and extremely unpatriotic 'news' broadcasters. They use billions of dollars of American airwaves for free, spreading lies not only through their news but through almost all of their programming, especially through 'late-night talk show hosts' who earn enormous salaries despite their dismal ratings. As I said on 'The Apprentice,' they are never 'fired.' Thank you for your attention to this matter! President Donald J. Trump."
