President Donald Trump was furious over Iran's attack on Qatar's LNG gas facilities. He warned that if Iran were to launch such an attack again, he would "blow up the entire South Pars gas field."

In a post on Truth Social on Wednesday night, President Trump stated that the United States was "completely unaware" of the attack, which targeted "only a relatively small part of the entire facility" of South Pars, a major Iranian gas field, by Israel.

He pointed out that Qatar had "no involvement whatsoever" and "didn't even know an attack was going to happen," calling Iran's attack on Qatar's LNG gas facilities "unjustified and unfair."

President Trump conveyed that Israel would not launch further attacks on South Pars as long as Iran did not carry out additional attacks on Qatar, and threatened, "If Iran foolishly attacks Qatar, the United States will blow up the entire South Pars gas field with a force Iran has never experienced or witnessed before, regardless of whether Israel helps or agrees."

President Trump added, "I do not want to condone this level of force and destruction because of the long-term implications for Iran's future. However, if Qatar's LNG facilities are attacked again, I will not hesitate to do so."

On the 18th, Israel launched airstrikes on South Pars gas field and Assaluyeh refinery facilities, which are key energy facilities in Iran. As a result, fields 3, 4, 5, and 6 of South Pars, Iran's largest gas field, ceased operations due to fires. The Assaluyeh refinery complex also suffered direct hits, disrupting gas supply.

In retaliation for Israel's attack, Iran launched a ballistic missile attack on Ras Laffan Industrial City, a key gas facility in Qatar.

Qatar described Iran's attack as a "blatant violation" of its sovereignty and an act of terrorism against civilian facilities. The Qatari government immediately declared martial law and expelled diplomats, including military attachés from the Iranian Embassy in Qatar.

The Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister warned that Iran's actions had "crossed all red lines" and emphasized that the patience of the Gulf states was not infinite. GCC countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), issued a joint statement strongly criticizing Iran's attack for undermining regional security.

This incident caused international LNG prices to soar to unprecedented levels. Asian spot prices (JKM) exceeded $25 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), reaching a three-year high. This is more than double the $11 level from just a month ago.

European natural gas futures (TTF) rose by approximately 25% in one day, exceeding 68 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh).

Oil prices were also affected. Brent crude oil surpassed $110 per barrel during trading, and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil experienced sharp fluctuations between $96 and $100 per barrel, showing volatile trends.
