U.S. President Donald Trump pressed Iran on the morning of the 26th (local time) through a social media post, urging it to move quickly to reach a peace agreement.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, President Trump directly criticized, "The Iranian negotiating team is very unusual and 'strange.'"

He stated, "They are 'begging' us to reach an agreement," adding, "They should, as they are in a situation where they have been militarily devastated and have no possibility of recovery, but publicly they only say, 'We are reviewing our proposal.'"

He argued, "That is wrong. They had better get serious immediately before it's too late, because once something happens, it cannot be undone, and it will not be good."

President Trump's remarks are interpreted as an attempt to raise the pressure amidst ongoing discussions for a peace agreement with Iran.

Previously, he had issued an ultimatum to Iran demanding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, but then suddenly announced on the 23rd that he had had 'productive dialogue' with Iran and had suspended attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure for five days. The suspension period expires on the 27th.

Although President Trump has been making statements that raise expectations for negotiations daily, Iran denies being in negotiations with the United States, indicating that the gap in positions between the two sides remains significant.
