The Moon Jae-in administration ignored safe treatments while forcibly administering contaminated vaccines. [Reuters=Yonhap News]According to a recent audit by the Board of Audit and Inspection, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) received over 1,280 reports from medical institutions between March 2021 and October 2024 regarding foreign substances, including mold and silicon dioxide, in COVID-19 vaccines. 

Although these contaminated vaccines could cause health problems, the KDCA continued to administer 14.2 million doses from the same batch number without any follow-up actions. 

Regime Maintenance Valued Over Public Life

In response, the civic group Committee for the Countermeasures of People's Livelihoods (CCPL) filed a complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency against President Lee Jae-myung and Chief Presidential Secretary Kim Hyun-ji for abuse of power and dereliction of duty. 

This action was taken because, a month after the audit results were released, the government had still not taken any disciplinary or legal action against former President Moon Jae-in or the then KDCA Commissioner, Chung Eun-kyung (currently Minister of Health and Welfare). 

Members of the People Power Party also filed a complaint against Chung Eun-kyung for dereliction of duty. A recent poll by Korea Information Research indicated that 62.3% of respondents believe there is a problem with the delay in the parliamentary inquiry into the moldy vaccine scandal. 

Concerns have been raised about the unproven safety of mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines, their potential to cause genetic mutations, and side effects such as neurological disorders, heart disease, blood disorders, and the exacerbation of pre-existing conditions. Hundreds of thousands of people have reported adverse reactions after vaccination, tens of thousands suffer from paralysis or permanent disability due to aftereffects, and thousands have died from severe sequelae. 

Despite this, the Moon Jae-in administration at the time denied the side effects of vaccination and placed the burden of proving the causal link between vaccination and death on the victim. 

It is practically impossible for victims of vaccine side effects to medically prove a causal relationship between the vaccine and the adverse reactions. A constitutional appeal has been filed arguing that the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act, which places the burden of proof on the victim in civil litigation, is unconstitutional. 

According to data submitted by the KDCA to the National Assembly in 2024, there have been a total of 484,698 reports of adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination. Among these, there were 19,947 serious adverse events, including 2,152 deaths, as well as cases of paralysis and permanent disability. 

This number is comparable to the official death toll of over 35,000 from COVID-19 infections. Furthermore, due to the Moon Jae-in administration's stance of not acknowledging vaccine side effects, the statistics for deaths and serious adverse events related to vaccine sequelae are likely significantly underestimated. 

Even more serious is the "political quarantine" employed by the Democratic Party and the Moon Jae-in regime, which strategically exploited the COVID-19 pandemic. They used COVID-19 to suppress anti-Moon Jae-in protests and as a tool to strengthen control over the public. 

The Moon Jae-in administration blocked the prescription of a domestically developed, safe, and proven COVID-19 treatment, second only to the United States, causing millions of doses of the treatment to be discarded. As a result, tens of thousands of COVID-19 patients died without receiving the treatment. This constitutes intentional homicide or homicide with probable intent by the Moon Jae-in administration. 

Why the Moon Jae-in Administration's Lukewarm Prescription of Rekirona?

In early 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic originating from China raged, Celltrion invested 300 billion KRW to develop the COVID-19 treatment Rekirona in a remarkably short period of one year. In early 2021, the Moon Jae-in administration approved Rekirona for use, purchasing 100,000 doses but limiting its prescription to confirmed cases aged 60 and over. 

While there were 650 reports of deaths following vaccination in the five months after the start of vaccinations in February 2021, as of August 2021, there were no reported deaths or serious side effects attributed to the administration of the 8,610 Rekirona prescriptions. 

The following is an excerpt from a Yonhap News article dated May 5, 2021, titled "Prescription of Celltrion's COVID-19 Treatment Significantly Reduced Severe Cases": 

"According to Celltrion, as of the end of last month, Rekirona had been prescribed to approximately 2,200 mild COVID-19 patients in high-risk groups nationwide, with the Busan Medical Center administering it to a maximum of about 450 patients among domestic single medical institutions. Rekirona is a COVID-19 antibody treatment that received product approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on February 5. It is used for mild COVID-19 patients who are aged 60 or older or have one or more pre-existing conditions (cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, diabetes, high blood pressure)." 

Kim Dong-wan, head of the ICU at Busan Medical Center and a pulmonologist, told Yonhap News, "Initially, we prescribed Rekirona because it was the only available treatment for mild cases. However, after administration, we observed a noticeable improvement in patients' conditions and viral load. We reached a consensus within the hospital to administer it promptly to eligible patients." 

Dr. Kim added, "Since February 19, only one mild patient who received Rekirona has progressed to severe condition, and there have been no deaths. Elderly patients who seemed stable upon admission would often suddenly worsen, but now this rarely happens." 

However, due to the Moon Jae-in administration's tepid Rekirona prescription policy, not only COVID-19 patients but even doctors were unaware of Rekirona's existence. Consequently, they prescribed symptomatic treatments such as fever reducers and headache medicine, leaving patients to recover through their own immunity, die, or suffer long-term effects. 

A majority of the over 35,000 COVID-19 infection deaths could have been prevented with Rekirona prescriptions. Despite South Korea being the only country besides the United States to develop a COVID-19 treatment, the Moon Jae-in administration failed to utilize it effectively. 

Celltrion's Rekirona had an annual production capacity of millions of doses, enough to treat all confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country and more. However, due to the emergence of the Omicron variant in 2022, Rekirona's efficacy decreased, leading to the suspension of its supply and its eventual disposal. 

During a meeting with then-Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, Celltrion Chairman Seo Jung-jin proposed joint clinical trials for Rekirona with multiple countries, offering substantial financial support. However, the proposal was rejected due to conditions regarding priority supply of the treatment, with Seo asserting the company's commitment to prioritize domestic supply for Korean citizens. 

Seo Jung-jin also developed and sold COVID-19 rapid test kits abroad, but they were not in demand domestically. If the use of rapid test kits allowed for the immediate determination of COVID-19 infection within 10 minutes, confirmed cases would surge. This is why the government did not use Celltrion's diagnostic kits in the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak. Consequently, even U.S. President Donald Trump questioned the reliability of South Korea's COVID-19 infection statistics. 

The Moon Jae-in Administration's Deliberate Demonization of Jeon Kwang-hoon

Before the general election in April 2020, COVID-19 testing was halved, resulting in a corresponding decrease in confirmed cases. The government then advertised this as a success in quarantine measures, leading to the Democratic Party's landslide victory in the general election. 

The use of rapid test kits would have prevented the selective and discriminatory focused testing and witch-hunting of participants from Sarang Jeil Church and the August 15 Gwanghwamun rally. Individuals who visited Haeundae Beach, Caribbean Bay amusement park, the August 15 Korean Confederation of Trade Unions rally, the Park Won-soon memorial altar in Gwanghwamun, and those who used the millions of travel, performance, theater, and dining discount coupons distributed by the Moon Jae-in administration could have had their infection status determined instantaneously. 

As a countermeasure to the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China, in January 2020, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam implemented a ban on entry from China within a month, resulting in very few COVID-19 infections. The Moon Jae-in administration, however, prioritizing its relations with the Chinese government, stated that a ban on entry from China was unnecessary in the early stages of COVID-19. 

Moon Jae-in's unfounded statements that COVID-19 would be quickly contained undermined the public's preparedness for quarantine measures. While he boasted about simultaneously controlling both quarantine and the economy, confirmed cases soon surged. The government then resorted to a witch-hunt against the Shincheonji Church. 

As cases decreased, the Moon Jae-in administration lifted the ban on small gatherings and distributed millions of travel, performance, theater, and dining discount coupons, despite experts' warnings. In August, cases surged from various locations, including churches, cafes, and academies. A witch-hunt began against the August 15 Gwanghwamun rally, organized by conservative groups demanding the resignation of the Moon Jae-in administration. 

However, tens of thousands of individuals who attended the August 15 Gwanghwamun rally by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and visited the Park Won-soon memorial altar in Gwanghwamun were not tested for COVID-19. The government strategically exploited public health and safety to cover up its quarantine failures. 

Through manipulation and propaganda, the regime came to power via the Sewol ferry protests and Park Geun-hye's impeachment, and it maintained power through political quarantine measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. The incompetent and corrupt Moon Jae-in administration blamed others for its failures: flooding was attributed to Lee Myung-bak's Four Major Rivers Project, soaring real estate prices to the previous Park Geun-hye administration, and the spread of COVID-19 to Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon. 

Despite the fact that the 841 confirmed cases from Jeon Kwang-hoon's Sarang Jeil Church were unrelated to the 136 confirmed cases from the August 15 Gwanghwamun rally, the Moon Jae-in administration fabricated a connection between the two through manipulation and propaganda. While tens or hundreds of people were infected in various locations nationwide, such as Yongin Woori Church (180 cases) and Paju Starbucks (64 cases), around the same time, unrelated to the August 15 Gwanghwamun rally, these specific instances were singled out. 

During the MERS outbreak under the Park Geun-hye government, which resulted in 38 deaths and 186 confirmed cases, the government was accused of propaganda against the public, labeling individuals as "super-spreaders." In stark contrast, the shameless Moon Jae-in administration insisted it was blameless even as thousands died from COVID-19 infections. 

While most developed countries ended social distancing measures through rapid vaccination campaigns, the incompetent and corrupt Moon Jae-in government failed to secure vaccines. Instead, it imposed endless stringent quarantine policies, forcing the sacrifice of small business owners and devastating the lives of its citizens. 

Citing the risks associated with COVID-19 vaccines and opposing mandatory vaccination, President Trump appointed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a proponent of the theory that COVID-19 vaccines are ineffective, as his Secretary of Health and Human Services for his second administration. 

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has criticized the COVID-19 vaccines, stating that they are the most deadly vaccines ever created due to the increasing number of deaths reported after vaccination. 

The tens of thousands of lives lost due to COVID-19 during the year from February 2021, when Rekirona administration began, to February 2022, when its supply was halted due to the emergence of the Omicron variant, are the responsibility of the Moon Jae-in administration. Their actions constitute dereliction of duty or homicide with probable intent by individuals associated with the Moon Jae-in administration, falling under criminal offenses. 

The responsibility of the Moon Jae-in administration, which indiscriminately administered unproven COVID-19 vaccines while the proven and safe COVID-19 treatment Rekirona was unused and discarded in warehouses, must be investigated through a special prosecutor's inquiry. Legal accountability must be sought from Moon Jae-in, Chung Eun-kyung, and other involved parties.
