U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 3rd (local time), "If we are given a little more time, we will be able to easily open the Strait of Hormuz, seize the oil, and make a lot of money."

In a post on the social media platform Truth Social on the same day, President Trump claimed, "It will be a 'GUSHER' of tremendous oil for the world?"

In this post, President Trump did not provide any detailed explanations on how he would normalize passage through the Strait of Hormuz, which is currently blockaded by Iran, or what oil he was referring to that could be seized.

Ultimately, it appears President Trump posted this message to send an optimistic signal to the market that the opening of the Strait of Hormuz is imminent, given the ongoing high-intensity attacks by U.S. forces against Iran.

In his national address on the 1st, President Trump stated, "When this conflict ends, the (Hormuz) Strait will naturally open. Once oil supplies resume, oil prices will plummet and stock prices will surge."

On the 2nd, he also urged the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the devastating airstrikes to return Iran to the "Stone Age" had "not even begun yet," and that "(Iran's) new regime leaders know what needs to be done. It needs to be done quickly."
