Representative Jeon Han-gil has declared his withdrawal from the People Power Party.

Previously, Representative Jeon had retracted his decision to leave the People Power Party on the 11th of last month. On the 6th, around 10:30 PM, he announced three points through a public statement: △withdrawal from the People Power Party △establishment of the civic group 'Korea-US Alliance Group' △proposal of the 'Umbrella Revolution'.

Representative Jeon stated, "I decided to leave the People Power Party based on the judgment that it is not fulfilling its role as a true conservative party."

He elaborated, "The direct reasons for leaving are the reality that it is impossible for four conservative outside parties without any seats in the National Assembly, despite pursuing genuine conservative values, to enter the mainstream political system, and the unresolved suspicions of fraudulent elections, leading to fundamental doubts about the promotion of local elections and constitutional amendments."

He emphasized, "Bipartisan activities that are not bound by factions are necessary."

Representative Jeon added that he plans to hold a peace protest every Saturday at Camp Humphreys, a US Forces Korea base in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province.
