The United States, which has agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran, is preparing for face-to-face negotiations with the goal of a complete end to hostilities, CNN reported on the 7th (local time).

According to White House officials, Vice President JD Vance is expected to attend the end-of-hostilities negotiations with Iran, along with Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump's eldest son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Sources say that Vice President Vance, who is currently visiting Hungary, could travel directly to Islamabad, Pakistan, a city being discussed as a potential venue for the negotiations, if his schedule permits.

Regarding face-to-face negotiations, Iran announced that discussions to finalize the details of the ceasefire proposal will take place in Islamabad, Pakistan, starting from the 10th.

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre stated, "Discussions about the talks are ongoing," but added, "Nothing is confirmed until President Trump or the White House makes an announcement."

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced via Truth Social that he had agreed to suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks on the condition that Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz.
