On the 7th, Sergeant A, a man in his 40s working at the Defense Ministry's Service Support Corps in Yongsan, was found dead inside a building on base during working hours.

While the military authorities are investigating the specific circumstances of the death, no foul play has been discovered yet, according to reports.

The Ministry of National Defense stated on the 8th, "A very unfortunate accident occurred within the Ministry of National Defense. We offer our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and apologize to the public for causing concern."
