U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who led the American delegation in armistice negotiations with Iran, announced on the 11th (local time) that no agreement was reached with Iran and that he would return to the United States without a deal.

Speaking at a press conference at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan, Vance stated that despite negotiating with Iran for 21 hours and clearly communicating America's 'red lines,' Iran did not accept the U.S. demands.

This statement contradicted the Iranian side's announcement that the talks would resume on the 12th.

Vance pointed out that although the United States showed flexibility, Iran did not demonstrate a willingness to refrain from developing nuclear weapons.

The press conference held by Vice President Vance took place around 6:30 AM local time on the 12th in Pakistan.

Previously, the U.S. and Iranian delegations met in Islamabad on the 11th for marathon negotiations, but failed to find common ground on issues such as the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, the prohibition of Iran possessing nuclear weapons, and the ceasefire in Lebanon.
