It has been revealed that there was an illegal handcuffing during the detention hearing process of Jeon Han-gil, CEO of 'Jeon Han-gil News'.

On the 16th, Jeon Han-gil's side stated, "There was a confrontation between our four lawyers and dozens of police officers during the detention process." They added, "When our lawyers attempted to document CEO Jeon's handcuffed appearance with cameras, the police deployed additional personnel to prevent any filming."

Furthermore, they condemned this action, stating, "Handcuffing someone who has not yet been ordered to be detained is an act of abuse of power intended to psychologically intimidate CEO Jeon and stigmatize him in the media."

They continued, "There is also a Supreme Court precedent stating that handcuffing someone who has voluntarily appeared for a detention hearing constitutes an infringement of personal rights," and announced that the evidence footage filmed by the lawyers would be uploaded soon.
