President Donald Trump stated on Monday the 20th that the United States is achieving a decisive victory in its dispute with Iran, claiming that military pressure and a naval blockade have weakened and thrown the Iranian government into disarray.

President Trump wrote on Truth Social, "I am winning the war, 'BY A LOT.' Everything is going very smoothly, and our military is doing a phenomenal job. But if you read the 'fake news' like the 'failing New York Times,' or the truly awful and disgusting 'Wall Street Journal,' or the Washington Post, which thankfully is now almost out of business, you would think we are losing the war."

He elaborated, "The enemy is confused. They are seeing the same 'reporting' from the media, yet they realize their navy has been totally destroyed, their air force has disappeared into darker runways, they have no missile defense or anti-aircraft defense, and most of their former leaders are gone (in addition to all of this, it was a regime change!)."

President Trump noted, "And perhaps most importantly, the 'blockade' that we will not lift until 'negotiations' are concluded is completely destroying Iran. They are losing $500 million a day, which is an unsustainable amount even in the short term."

The naval blockade on Iran is being jointly supported by not only CENTCOM but also the Pacific Fleet. This is part of the economic pressure measures that have become visible with the addition of "Operation Economic Fury" to "Operation Epic Fury."

The recent acts of piracy by Iran, involving attacks on vessels from various countries, are interpreted as a sudden surge in the voices of hardliners within Iran who could not withstand the pressure of this blockade.

President Trump added, "The anti-American fake news media wants Iran to win, but it will not happen because I am in charge! These unpatriotic people are continuing to pour all their limited strength into the Iran issue, just as they did in pouring all their limited strength into opposing me in the election. The result will be the same. It is already happening!"

In another Truth Social post, President Trump sarcastically remarked, "The Iranian leadership has directed hundreds of ships trying to secure oil to head to the United States, especially towards Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska." He added, "Thank you very much!"

The U.S. blockade operation against Iran is causing significant shifts in global energy flows. Simultaneously, it is dealing a major blow to Iran and the countries that have been receiving "Shadow Oil" from Iran, including China.

China is known to acquire Iranian oil, which is under sanctions, through a shadow fleet, purchasing it via maritime transshipment and disguising it as Malaysian or Omani origin.

Earlier, U.S. forces seized the Iranian merchant vessel "Tusca." At the time, President Trump stated on Truth Social, "Today, an Iranian cargo ship named 'Tusca,' approximately 900 feet long (about 275 meters) and weighing as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to break our naval blockade and failed."

CENTCOM announced that early Monday morning, on the 20th, the Tusca, heading to Bandar Abbas in southern Iran at a speed of 17 knots, was warned for violating the U.S. blockade but did not comply for six hours. After the U.S. military ordered the evacuation of the engine room, multiple shots from a 5-inch (127mm) MK45 naval gun were fired, disabling the propulsion system.

CENTCOM explained that the U.S. 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit boarded the Tusca, and the vessel is currently detained.

CENTCOM stated on Monday morning, the 20th, "Since the commencement of the blockade on vessels entering or exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas, the U.S. military has directed 27 vessels to turn back or return to Iranian ports."
