U.S. President Donald Trump pressured Iran on the 6th (local time), stating that if Iran does not engage in an agreement, he will bomb it with much greater intensity than before.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, President Trump said, "If they (Iran) do not agree, the bombing will commence, and sadly, it will be at a much higher level and intensity than before."
This threat to resume bombing is interpreted as pressure on Iran to proactively engage in an agreement centered on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and denuclearization.
President Trump stated that the U.S. military operation against Iran, codenamed 'Magnificent Rage,' would conclude on the premise that Iran agrees to the deal. He also claimed that thanks to the U.S. maritime blockade against Iran, the Strait of Hormuz would be open to everyone, including Iran.
The U.S. online media outlet Axios reported that the United States and Iran are close to signing a one-page Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The MOU is understood to include a temporary moratorium on Iran's uranium enrichment, the lifting of U.S. sanctions on Iran, restrictions on Iran's passage through the Strait of Hormuz, and the gradual lifting of the U.S. maritime blockade against Iran.
The previous day, President Trump announced significant progress in negotiations with Iran and stated that 'Project Freedom,' aimed at rescuing merchant ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, would be temporarily suspended.
Regarding the conclusion of Operation Magnificent Rage, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio had previously stated at a press conference that it had already concluded.
