The trail from the popular Sangui parking lot, passing Daejeon Temple to Giamgyo Bridge, is relatively gentle, making the initial part of the hike not particularly difficult.

However, the trail leading to the summit, Jujubong Peak, has narrow, steep, and slippery sections.

Many visitors have stated that the steep slopes in the middle are difficult to navigate not only at night but even during the day.

It is generally believed that even adults can be in danger if they have an accident while hiking alone.

Furthermore, the area where A was found is over 100 meters off the designated trail, densely covered with trees and vegetation, an area typically avoided by regular hikers.

This is why the search authorities, despite mobilizing a large number of personnel, were unable to find A until now.

A was discovered around 10:25 AM that day, approximately 100 meters from Yongyeon Falls near Jujubong Peak. It has been reported that a search dog belonging to the police's forensic investigation team first located him.

The discovery site was a rugged mountainside densely packed with trees.

Search officials described it as a steep slope characterized by rocks and shallow puddles, rather than a place with sheer vertical cliffs.

Juwangsan National Park Office informs visitors through various means, including signage, not to venture off the marked trails.

Additionally, regular patrols are conducted, and on days with many visitors, such as weekends and holidays, staff are stationed in pairs at key points.

During their stationing, staff guide visitors at major points and are responsible for relaying information or providing treatment in case of an emergency or patient.

A representative from Juwangsan National Park Office stated, "We were conducting station duty around lunchtime when the disappearance occurred."

Many residents expressed their sadness and regret over the accident, which occurred while an elementary school student was hiking alone.

One resident commented, "The summit of Mount Juwang has slippery and steep sections, so an elementary school student should be cautious when hiking alone."
