The National Power Party will officially launch its central election committee on the 13th, ahead of the June 3 local elections, and transition to a full-fledged local election system.
The National Power Party will hold the launch ceremony for the "National Election Committee to Judge Public Disregard and Prevent Indictment Cancellation" at its central party headquarters in Yeouido on the morning of the same day.
Party leaders, including Standing Election Committee Chairman Jang Dong-hyuk, Floor Leader Song Eon-seok, Supreme Council Member Shin Dong-wook, and Policy Committee Chairman Jeong Jeong-sik, will gather to pledge victory in the local elections.
The leadership will visit election sites in the afternoon to support the candidates.
Leader Jang is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the election office and election committee launch for Gyeongbuk Governor candidate Kim Young-hwan in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, where he will criticize the government and ruling party's pursuit of the so-called "special prosecutor bill for indictment cancellation" and call for support for candidate Kim.
Floor Leader Song plans to visit the campaign office opening of candidate Lee Yong, who is running in the by-election for the National Assembly seat in Hanam-gap, Gyeonggi Province, to encourage the election committee officials.
