President Donald Trump briefed reporters aboard Air Force One on his return trip from China about the summit discussions, though he did not disclose everything.

President Trump stated that China had agreed to purchase "200 airplanes from Boeing," adding that China had "committed to buy up to 750... If Boeing produces 200 well, it will be the largest order in history." This order is notable as it is the first new order in 10 years and represents the most tangible achievement from the China visit.

Regarding negotiations with Iran, President Trump said he almost threw away the first sentence of Iran's proposed negotiation terms into the trash. He pointed out that Iran should guarantee 20 years for halting its nuclear development, and there was no mention of handling nuclear dust (meaning nuclear-enriched uranium).

President Trump said that only the United States and China possess the equipment and technology to extract nuclear-enriched uranium buried in underground facilities. He added that Iran initially agreed to the removal of nuclear dust but later changed its mind, stating, "But eventually, they will agree."

He declined to specifically mention a renewed attack on Iran, saying, "I can say with very strong conviction, Iran will never have nuclear weapons. It is something that will never happen."

Concerning Taiwan, President Trump stated that he avoided arguments with President Xi Jinping due to their differing views and primarily adopted a listening stance. He added, "I didn't mention that issue at all."

President Trump conveyed that President Xi said he did not want to see independence movements in Taiwan, but regarding whether the U.S. would sell weapons to Taiwan, he responded, "We will decide in a relatively short period of time."

When asked if the U.S. would protect Taiwan if China attacked, President Trump replied, "I don't want to answer that. I'm not going to talk about those things."

The President promised significant trade with China, stating, "That means our farmers will be very happy with the deals we've made." Although he did not specify the items or scale, in response to a question about China importing soybeans, he replied, "They will buy billions of dollars worth."

President Trump stated that tariffs were not discussed at this summit. He said that "almost everything was discussed" except for tariff reductions, including biological, nuclear, and cyber threats.

Regarding human rights issues, President Trump mentioned that he had informed the Chinese side prior to the summit about his intention to raise the release of Pastor Ming Li 'Ezra' Chen and Jimmy Lai, a key figure in Hong Kong's pro-democracy movement. He reported that China was seriously considering the case of Pastor Chen but was more reserved about Jimmy Lai, calling it "a more difficult issue."

At the end of the interview with reporters, a question about North Korea was also raised.

President Trump said, "I have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un. Ah.. it's pretty quiet."

When asked if he had contacted him, Trump replied, "Yes," but refused to provide specifics. He added, "I have a good relationship with him. I hope he's polite. He has respected our country."

This state visit to China concluded without the announcement of any agreements or joint statements following the summit, leading to criticism of it being a fruitless diplomatic trip. However, such criticism appears to underestimate the achievements regarding Boeing and agricultural products, as well as the consensus formed between the U.S. and China on the Iran issue.

President Trump announced that he would invite President Xi Jinping to the White House on September 24-25. He mentioned that he could have a total of four meetings with President Xi this year.
