Israeli media outlets, including The Times of Israel, reported on the 24th that U.S. President Donald Trump promised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the 23rd (local time) that he would "completely" dismantle Iran's nuclear program.

These media outlets reported that a senior Israeli official said, "In a phone call last night, President Trump made it clear that he would maintain a firm stance on the conditions he has long demanded in negotiations with Iran, such as the complete dismantling of Iran's nuclear program and the export of enriched uranium abroad."

The senior official emphasized, "President Trump also stated that if these conditions are not met, he will not sign a final agreement with Iran."

He added, "Prime Minister Netanyahu stressed that Israel will retain the freedom to counter threats on all fronts, including Lebanon, and President Trump emphasized his support for these principles."

The American media outlet Axios reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu had expressed concerns to President Trump about an agreement to end the war with Lebanon's Hezbollah the previous day. A U.S. official explained to the outlet that Israel's military response is permitted if Hezbollah re-arms or resumes attacks.

The Israeli official also stated that the U.S. is continuously updating the Israeli government on the latest developments regarding the memorandum of understanding being negotiated with Iran, adding that Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked President Trump for his "exceptional commitment" to Israel's security.
