South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 26th that North Korea fired an unidentified projectile into the Yellow Sea.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff are analyzing the specifications and range of the North Korean projectile.

Previously, on March 19, North Korea launched several short-range ballistic missiles, which they claimed were equipped with cluster warheads, from the Sinpo area of South Hamgyong Province into the East Sea.

If the North Korean projectile is confirmed to be a ballistic missile, it would be the first launch in 37 days and the eighth this year.
