  • The cabinet meeting scheduled to be held at Camp David has been moved to the White House due to severe weather.

US President Donald Trump's recent social media post, conveying a message of "Iran's surrender," has drawn attention regarding its underlying context.

On the afternoon of the 26th (local time), President Trump wrote on Truth Social: "If Iran surrenders, and admits that its Navy is at the bottom of the ocean, gone and no longer exists, and if Iran’s entire military lays down their arms, walks out into the street with their hands up high, and exits Tehran, waving white flags of surrender, surrender, surrender and if all of their remaining leaders sign on to any and all of the necessary surrender documents, and admit defeat in front of the magnificent power and majesty of the Great United States, then the failing New York Times, the China Street Journal (WSJ!), the corrupt and now meaningless CNN, and all of the other Fake News Media will announce that Iran has won a spectacular and shining victory over the United States, and that the contest was never even close. The Democrats and the Media have lost their minds. They are completely out of their minds!!!"

This statement was virtually identical to one posted on the 18th (Monday). At that time, President Trump had issued orders for a military strike against Iran for the 19th, stating that he was displeased with Iran's new revised proposal.

At the time, leaders from countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates earnestly requested President Trump to postpone the military strike. Consequently, President Trump rescinded the order for the operation an hour before its scheduled commencement, while maintaining a state of readiness.

The reemergence of the "Iran's surrender" rhetoric this time raises the possibility that military action may be initiated due to dissatisfaction with Iran's negotiating stance or content.

This statement comes after President Trump announced a cabinet meeting at Camp David, which had garnered attention as an unusually convened meeting focused on the Iran issue.

However, President Trump announced on Truth Social on the afternoon of the 26th: "Due to the predicted bad weather tomorrow, the Cabinet Meeting will be held at the White House and the Cabinet Meeting scheduled for Camp David will be postponed."

Even if the significance of the location is diminished, the fact that a cabinet meeting is being convened means that attention is focused on whether extraordinary measures regarding Iran will be announced on Wednesday.
