President Donald Trump announced on the 29th (local time) that he would head to the Situation Room to make a "final decision" on the dispute with Iran.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump declared, "Iran must agree that they will never have a nuclear weapon or a nuclear bomb. They must immediately open up the Strait of Hormuz so that ships can sail freely in both directions without toll."
Iran has presented its red lines as maintaining its right to uranium enrichment, possessing highly enriched uranium (HEU), sovereign control over the Strait of Hormuz, and the lifting of sanctions.
Currently, Iran is known to possess a total of 2,000 pounds of enriched uranium, including 60% enriched uranium and 20% enriched uranium.
With the United States and Iran presenting opposing red lines, President Trump also ordered, "If there are mines in the seabed, they must all be removed."
He explained, "We have already detonated many mines using our powerful underwater mine-clearing vessels. Iran must immediately remove or detonate the remaining mines, and there will not be many of them."
In fact, the fact that many ships have passed through and exited the strait after the U.S. implemented 'Project Freedom' following Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz proves that a considerable number of mines have been removed and the sea routes have been opened.
President Trump said, "Due to our incredible and unprecedented naval blockade, ships trapped in the strait will now be able to begin their journey home as the blockade is lifted. Please send my regards to your wives, husbands, parents, and families."
He then claimed that the U.S. would forcibly dismantle the nuclear-enriched uranium that Iran is unwilling to give up.
He stated, "The enriched nuclear material, sometimes called 'nuclear dust,' is buried deep underground on a pile that was almost destroyed by our powerful B2 bomber attack 11 months ago. The United States agrees that we are the only country capable of performing this operation along with China. We will work closely with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency to excavate and destroy this material."
President Trump also made it clear that financial sanctions on Iran would remain, saying, "There will be no monetary exchange until further notice."
He added, "Agreements have been reached on many other much less important matters. I am now in the Situation Room meeting to make the final decision."
Conservative journalist Mark Levin announced on the 28th (Thursday) that his nationally syndicated radio listeners overwhelmingly oppose nuclear negotiations with Iran and instead support the collapse of the Iranian regime.
