Allegations of election fraud have reignited during the June 3rd local elections. A significant discrepancy was detected between the number of ballots counted by observers (left) and the number of ballots tallied and announced by the election commission. Allegations of election fraud are reigniting as severe discrepancies were observed on election day (in-person voting) for the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections (June 3rd Local Elections) and National Assembly by-elections, where the number of voters directly counted by observers and the figures presented by election officials showed significant differences.

 
According to the Freedom and Innovation Party and the Korean-American Joint Election Fraud Investigation Team on the 3rd, at polling station 2 in Namgajwa 1-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on the day of the in-person voting for the June 3rd local elections and by-elections, observers meticulously recorded 593 voters through manual counting. However, the cumulative number of voters officially announced by the election official was 686.

This represents a discrepancy of a whopping 93 people, or 15.7%. 

According to observers, while the count of 68 people was identical for both observers and officials during the first 45 minutes from 6 AM, the official's count was 8 less after an hour. By 9:45 AM, the gap was 13, widening to 50 by 10:45 AM, and reaching 93 by noon. 

Observers confirmed the cumulative voter count with the election official every 45 minutes. During this process, the election official reportedly provided the numbers solely by looking at their personal mobile phone screen, without cross-verifying the serial numbers of the actual ballots issued (such as remaining quantities).

The Freedom and Innovation Party issued a warning, stating that it is now time for the sovereign citizens to respond to the collapse of election trust. 

Wi Geum-suk, Chairperson of the Freedom and Innovation Election Fraud Reform Special Committee (Ph.D. in Computer Engineering), stated, "The electoral engineering axiom that artificially inflating voter turnout makes post-election computer manipulation and vote matching easier is being replicated today at the actual polling stations in South Korea," and objected, stating, "Elections where the physical ballots and computer records diverge have already lost fairness and trust."
