The number of voters recorded by poll watchers during the main vote significantly differed from the Election Commission's system records. [Freedom and Innovation] 

Shocking circumstances have emerged suggesting that votes were "inflated" even during the main voting (in-person voting) in the June 3rd local elections. 

According to the Freedom and Innovation Party and the Korea-US Joint Election Irregularity Investigation Team on the 5th, a vast discrepancy of 384 people was found between the number of voters manually counted and recorded by poll watchers and the Election Commission's system records at Polling Station 3 in Oryu 2-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul.

According to the "Vote Tally Sheet" from the on-site poll watcher, the cumulative number of in-person voters counted visually at the final closing time was 1,624. In contrast, the Election Commission's system cumulative total was 2,008, indicating that a figure as high as 384 people (23.6%) more than the actual number was registered in the electronic system. 

This discrepancy widened precisely as time passed. The difference, which was 5.7% between 11 AM and 12 PM, snowballed to 9.1% at 1 PM, 11.7% at 2 PM, and 19.8% at 3 PM. Notably, the most extreme discrepancy was observed between 3 PM and 4 PM, when the system's cumulative total exceeded the visual count by 26.9%. 

Vote Tally Sheet. [Provided by Freedom and Innovation] The Election Commission has invited public distrust through opaque administrative practices, such as obstructing CCTV at polling stations. Strong criticism is rising that election management conducted in closed-door settings, shielded from public scrutiny, can never win the people's acceptance. 

There are increasing calls that this suspicion of inflated electronic tallies is not an issue that the Election Commission can resolve with its own explanation. Momentum is building for public opinion that an independent special prosecutor (SP) should be immediately appointed to thoroughly investigate the truth behind the possibility of electronic manipulation. 

Public opinion demands that all officials responsible at the Election Commission who violated the sacred sovereignty of the people and undermined the fairness of the election be held accountable and severely punished. 

A representative from Freedom and Innovation stated, "The people are the owners of the election. This situation clearly shows why vigilant 'civic consciousness' and on-site monitoring are important, remaining steadfast even in the face of unjust administration." They added, "The dedication of the poll watchers, who meticulously recorded the numbers from the field every hour under strict control, is a true bulwark that has protected the democracy of the Republic of Korea."
