On the 5th, Park Soo-young, a member of the People Power Party, stated on Facebook that students of 'Minjok Korea University' were expressing their anger by issuing statements and posting large-character posters. He also mentioned that many universities across the country were in a similar situation.

Park emphasized, "University students are angry about the ballot shortage that infringed upon their right to participate in politics. This situation cannot be overlooked. A special prosecutor is needed."

He also released a 'list of statements on the current situation' from 'angry university students.' This list included many universities from the Honam region. Meanwhile, the Korea University Student Council stated in its declaration on the current situation, "To take true responsibility is not merely a few apologies or lengthy excuses. It is also not the performance of true responsibility to cut off the tail by punishing a few individuals and shifting the blame to individuals to incite public attack. The responsibility we demand is to establish fundamental and concrete measures to restore the infringed basic rights and the trampled right to participate in politics to their original standing."
