According to Politico, a U.S. political news outlet, President Trump engaged in a heated exchange with host Kristen Welker during the pre-taped recording of NBC's news program "Meet the Press" on the 7th (local time).

The argument began during a discussion criticizing the administration of his predecessor, Joe Biden.

When President Trump claimed that the Biden administration "put people in jail who did nothing wrong," the host, Welker, retorted that there was no evidence.

In response, President Trump countered, "There is tremendous evidence."

When Welker pointed out again, "It has never been proven in court," President Trump reiterated his existing claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, and also asserted that election fraud is currently occurring in California.

When Welker asked for the basis of his allegations of election fraud, President Trump stated, "The election is being rigged. You are rigging it, the media is rigging it, and 'Meet the Press' is rigging it."

Welker responded, "I am not rigging it," and attempted to continue the interview.

However, President Trump declared, "You know the election is rigged, and your network knows it. Your network is biased and dishonest," before announcing his intention to end the interview.

President Trump has consistently raised the claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged.

Welker requested that the interview continue, stating that the production team had traveled to Wisconsin for the interview, but her request was denied.

As President Trump concluded the interview, he remarked, "A country with dishonest media cannot be great."

However, after the interview aired, Welker spoke with President Trump again, and it was reported that he expressed his willingness to participate in a follow-up interview.
