President Trump departs for France to attend the G7 Summit [AP=Yonhap News]

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on the 15th (local time) that he will hold a "Trump Rally" around Washington D.C. on July 4th to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America's independence and founding.

Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social that day, "On July 4th, at the beautiful and safe Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument in Washington D.C., we will hold the most spectacular 'Trump Rally' in history, a 'Tribute to America'."

According to Trump's explanation, the event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln Memorial and the newly renovated Reflecting Pool in front of it.

More than 300 members of the military band, orchestra, and honor guard will perform patriotic songs, American classics, and a playlist personally selected by President Trump.

Trump introduced the joint performance troupe, saying, "This will be the largest joint military band and honor guard performance in history."

The event will also feature a formation flight and air show by Air Force pilots, as well as a keynote speech by President Trump. Trump said, "I will give a speech that you will never want to miss."

Trump explained that the event will conclude with the largest fireworks display in history.

Earlier, The Washington Post (WP) reported, citing the fireworks organizer, that over 860,000 fireworks are planned to be launched at the event, aiming to set a Guinness World Record.

Trump stated that through this event, "we will honor the people, spirit, strength, resolve, and achievements of America."
