Former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice Morse H. Tan (Korean name: Dan Hyun-myung) urged people to achieve victory through non-violent and peaceful methods, stating, "Do not give the government any pretext for suppression."

Tan, who visited Korea last year as the head of the International Election Monitoring Team (IEMT) and once again observed election fraud in the recent June 3rd local elections, emphasized this point around 8 p.m. on the 16th at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul, saying, "They are looking for a pretext, and they are probably discussing it."

Tan stated, "They are already saying the people at Olympic Park are violent, but I haven't seen any violence," and requested that people continue as they have been.

He also explained his travel ban based on his faith.

He said, "The longer I am here under a travel ban, the more the U.S. will understand this situation. I believe God is using this travel ban."

He added, "As long as I am here, I will be by your side, supporting you, encouraging you, helping you, and moving with you. God is good, He is not late, and He hears all prayers."

He continued, "I truly believe that God will not let Korea give up, in His time and in His way. Wait for that day and pray for that day."

Tan encouraged them, saying, "As you move forward, you will experience the Lord's touch that renews Korea's history."
