Kim Tae-san, Standing Representative of the National Union for Unification of the Two Koreas
I oppose a unification where the current South Korean politicians act as the masters. Those who only read the headline will curse me, asking, "Do you want unification by force?"
However, if I wanted unification by force, I wouldn't be writing this article. What I oppose is a corrupt unification where current South Korean politicians control the entire Korean Peninsula.
The reason is simple. Among South Korean politicians, there are very few true patriots, and too many traitors and shameless individuals. We don't need to look far for examples.
A few days ago, Woo Won-shik, who is second in rank in South Korea, attended China's Victory Day celebration. He didn't meet with Kim Jong Un, but simply shook hands as they passed by. Yet, he boasted that "the handshake itself was an achievement." What achievement, exactly? This is the true face of South Korean politicians today. They are ignorant and servile, with attitudes like trash, devoid of any pride for their nation and people.
There is another example. Park Ji-won, who accompanied Woo Won-shik, called out to Kim Jong Un twice, saying, "Chairman Kim Jong Un, it's me, Park Ji-won." However, Kim Jong Un didn't even acknowledge him. North Korea's Foreign Minister Ri Thae-song also ignored Park Ji-won. Yet, Park Ji-won proudly boasted about it for the whole world to know. How pathetic and subservient must a person be to do such a thing? They are no different from animals, lacking not only patriotism but even shame.
Is this truly a normal country, where individuals who once led national intelligence agencies, served as National Assembly members, and even as Speaker of the National Assembly, disgrace the nation yet still command the people?
How much did Lee Jae-myung disgrace the nation and its people in the United States? This is clearly a diplomatic disaster and an act of treason that insults our people and nation. Yet, in South Korean society, this is packaged as a source of pride. What kind of nation is this? These are the people who are the presidents and politicians of South Korea.
If a unification comes where these individuals rule over the North Korean people and control the Korean Peninsula, North Koreans would shudder at the thought. Even if they are currently hungry and under surveillance, they cannot live under such imbeciles and traitors.
Of course, some will argue, "Then do you dislike freedom? Do you think Kim Jong Un's dictatorship is better?" Others might even label me a spy. But I state this clearly: I would rather not unify than live subserviently under such corrupt thugs. It is better for our mental health.
If unification proceeds as led by the current South Korean politicians, the Korean Peninsula will undoubtedly devolve into a land where thugs run rampant, and ultimately become a vassal state of China. We cannot stand by and watch this happen. If such a unification becomes a reality, North Koreans will never forgive the South Korean trash politicians, and they will even engage in armed struggle to re-establish North Korea's independence.
Some might say, "Then why can't the South Korean conservative right come to power and pursue unification?" However, I believe even that is impossible. Forgive me for saying this, but South Korea's conservative right are like blind fools who can't distinguish between feces and fermented soybean paste. They were always tricked by the leftists, dragged along in anti-Rhee Syngman and anti-Park Chung-hee demonstrations, and ultimately overthrew Rhee Syngman and assassinated Park Chung-hee. In other words, the conservative right are foolish people who couldn't even protect their own government.
Until great leaders like Rhee Syngman and Park Chung-hee emerge again in South Korea, do not even think about unifying and trying to do something about North Korea.
