U.S. President Donald Trump announced on the 24th (local time) that he would move to dismantle "Antifa," a left-wing anti-fascist and anti-racist movement, in connection with the shooting incident at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Dallas, Texas.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, on the same day, President Trump mentioned that the casing found at the scene of the shooting had "ANTI ICE" written on it, stating, "This is cowardly. The brave men and women of ICE are just doing their job and trying to deport the worst of the worst criminals from our Country."

He continued, "But they are facing unprecedented threats, violence and attacks from the radical left maniacs. This violence is the result of radical left Democrats constantly demonizing our law enforcement and calling for the abolition of ICE and comparing ICE agents to Nazis."

President Trump added, "The ongoing attacks by radical left terrorists following the assassination of Charlie Kirk must stop. We have already designated Antifa as a terrorist organization, and I will be signing an executive order this week to dismantle these domestic terrorist organizations."

He had previously designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist group on the 22nd as a follow-up measure to the assassination of Kirk, and this announcement signals a stronger move to pursue the complete dismantling of the movement by mobilizing federal government authority.

President Trump urged the opposition Democratic Party, saying, "I demand that you immediately stop your rhetoric against ICE and U.S. law enforcement agencies. The Trump administration is committed to supporting law enforcement, securing our borders, ensuring homeland security, deporting violent illegal criminals, and completely eradicating the left-wing domestic terror that is terrorizing our country."
