Trump: "FBI Deployed Agents Among Crowd During 'Jan 6 Hoax'... Incited Violence"
Claims FBI Involvement in 2021 Capitol Riot... "Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians Must Be Investigated"

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on the 27th (local time) that 274 Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents were covertly deployed among the crowd during the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, appearing to have incited violence.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social that day, Trump stated, "It has just been revealed that the FBI violated all rules, regulations, procedures, and standards, and deployed 274 FBI agents in the crowd right before and during the January 6th Hoax."
The January 6th Capitol riot refers to the incident where Trump's ardent supporters, who disputed the results of the 2020 presidential election, stormed the Capitol. Trump pardoned over 1,500 supporters indicted for this incident as soon as he began his second term in January of this year.
Trump's remarks that day appear to be referencing reports from some conservative media outlets.
According to Politico, some conservative media outlets reported that the FBI had planted undercover agents in plainclothes at the scene from the beginning of the January 6th riot.
Trump said, "Now it has been revealed, FBI agents were there on January 6th, and possibly acting as instigators and insurrectionists, and certainly not as 'Law Enforcement Officers'."
He added, "I want to know who each of these so-called 'Agents' were and what they did on that 'Historic' day."
"Many great American Patriots have paid a very steep price, simply for loving their Country," he continued. "I owe it to them to investigate the 'Dirty Cops' and 'Crooked Politicians'."
Trump stated, "The FBI Director at the time, Christopher Wray, has a lot of explaining to do." "Two in a row. Comey and Wray were caught lying when our great Country was in peril. This should never happen again in America."
Comy refers to former FBI Director James Comey. He was in charge of the investigation into allegations that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help Trump win, leading to a long-standing conflict with Trump. He was recently indicted on charges including lying under oath to Congress. Yonhap News Agency
