Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Tuesday that he has launched secret investigations into "various groups linked to left-wing political violence operating in Texas" in response to "the political assassination of national hero Charlie Kirk and a nationwide surge in left-wing violence."

"Left-wing political terror is a clear and present danger," Paxton said. "Corrupt ideologies like transgenderism and Antifa are a cancer on our culture and have unleashed deranged drug addicts on the American people."

He added, "The martyrdom of Charlie Kirk marks a turning point for America. There can be no compromise with those who seek to kill us. To that end, I have directed my office to continue its efforts to uncover, investigate, and infiltrate these left-wing terror organizations."

"To the deranged souls who seek to kill, steal, and destroy our country, know this: You can neither hide nor flee, and justice is coming," he warned.

According to the Attorney General's office, in July, approximately 20 armed leftists linked to an Antifa-like group based in Texas ambushed an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Alvarado, Texas.

Paxton said, "On September 10, 2025, a leftist assassin linked to a radical transgender cult murdered Charlie Kirk. Two weeks later, another deranged leftist shot up an ICE facility in Dallas."

Paxton's announcement referenced President Donald Trump's designation of Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and his directive to relevant agencies to investigate and dismantle related activities. Antifa refers to a decentralized movement of activists and organizations who oppose fascism.

The statement added, "Building on President Trump's bold action, Attorney General Paxton has directed the Department of Justice to commence extensive investigations into radical left-wing organizations that perpetrate or support political violence."
