Kim Jin-il, Supreme Council member of the Freedom and Innovation Party, is interviewed on the night of the 28th. / Captured from a Live broadcast on the Hanmi Ilbo YouTube channel.

Kim Jin-il, Supreme Council member of the Freedom and Innovation Party, interpreted, "Despite Representative Hwang Kyo-ahn being a legal professional, his choice to refuse the execution of the arrest warrant by the special prosecutor carries a clear political message he wishes to convey to the public."

Appearing on a live broadcast hosted by the YouTube channel in front of the residence of Hwang Kyo-ahn, Representative of the Freedom and Innovation Party, in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, around 11 p.m. on the 28th, Supreme Council member Kim stated, "This is my interpretation of Representative Hwang's intentions."

Kim also presented his political interpretation of the right to resist, prefacing it as his personal opinion.

He remarked, "Personally, I view protests as an attempt to assert our dissatisfaction and our desired intentions. However, at some point, the focus shifted to peace or non-violence. Looking back at the current situation, what's important isn't peace or non-violence, but rather that we are uniting under the terms 'struggle' and 'resistance.'"

He continued, "Even if those words are removed, 'struggle' and 'resistance' can encompass all meanings. Yet, it took us a year to break free from that framework. Therefore, if we gather anywhere with the intention to resist and the will to struggle, it can create sufficient pressure on the other side."

Specifically, he emphasized, "We must exercise our right to resist to block and defend the constitutional amendment vote and allow the trial of Lee Jae-myung to proceed. Expressing opinions on social media and participating in politics is itself a form of resistance. By broadly interpreting this, by clearly stating our refusal to comply with this government's policies and our opposition, it is of great help. Everyone who takes action to correct South Korea according to the situation and circumstances is engaged in acts of resistance," he stressed.

"Onlookers who ask what will happen can't change anything... you must participate as a player."

Kim urged, "If we cannot protect our comrades today, we will not have comrades by our side tomorrow. Many are now revealing online and on social media what the anti-state forces, who have been operating covertly in politics and society, have done. Please continue these efforts tirelessly."

Kim also analyzed the background of the special prosecutor's investigation into Representative Hwang. He stated, "From what I've heard, it sounds like they are targeting the Freedom and Innovation Party as part of an effort to clear the perimeter and lay the groundwork before directly confronting the People Power Party. My understanding is that they are calculating to systematically dismantle the periphery and neutralize the core elements."

He added, "According to media reports, the three special prosecutor teams have accessed the communication records of over 19,000 individuals. Considering what this implies, I believe truly terrible things could unfold. I judge that the situation we feared most is about to begin. This is just the start," he warned.

He said, "Many people ask what they think will happen next, but they are merely spectators in a card game. As players who all hold the cards, we must consider how to resolve this issue and act. This is the role of a player. I urge everyone not to be a spectator but to become a player and participate in this grand struggle. Spectators cannot change anything."

He then added, "It is time for all of us to pool our wisdom and find the right answers on how to confront and fight this government, by reviving the memories of resistance hidden in your minds from a year ago."

Meanwhile, on the night of the 28th, two days after the special prosecutor's team's attempt to forcibly investigate Hwang Kyo-ahn, Representative of the Freedom and Innovation Party, failed, supporters continued to guard Representative Hwang's residence, prepared for a surprise raid.

A large poster was posted here, reading, "If we retreat from here today, tomorrow it will be your front door," creating palpable tension. Some supporters strongly condemned the special prosecutor's attempt at a search and seizure, claiming it was "unjust investigation" and a "violent act."
