Trump: "Trade deals being finalized globally... will soon reach agreement with Korea"

U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 29th, "We will soon finalize a trade agreement with Korea as well."

Speaking at a special address at the APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju on the same day, President Trump stated, "Based on my visit to Asia, we have also finalized trade agreements with Malaysia, Cambodia, and Japan."

President Trump added, "Many trade agreements have been finalized, which will create stable partnerships. Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit tomorrow, and we will meet to finalize a U.S.-China trade agreement."

He reiterated, "It is much better to finalize and negotiate by talking than to engage in war. There is no reason to start a war," and expressed his hope for a trade agreement with President Xi.

Furthermore, he expressed his expectations, saying, "Everyone is watching and anticipating this, and it will be good for Korea and all countries around the world. This will end trade deficits, unfair barriers, unfair market access, and vulnerable supply chains." Yonhap News
