“The UN must investigate MBC! ...The U.S. must create a whitelist!”

Former International Criminal Justice Ambassador Mosstan stated this at the 'Washington Emergency National Salvation Lecture' jointly hosted by KCPAC (Korean Conservative Alliance) and the Washington Chapter of AKUS (Alliance of Korean-American United Societies) on the evening of Friday, October 31st, at the Washington Korean Community Center.

During his lecture on this day, Ambassador Tan stated, "When MBC went to North Korea, they left all their equipment there. These items were provided to North Korea as dual-use items that violate UN and international sanctions."

Dual-use items generally refer to "products, software, or technology that can be used for both civilian and military or weapons purposes."

In response to a question from News & Post, Ambassador Tan revealed that the incident he mentioned occurred during the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.

At that time, an MBC reporting team was dispatched to Pyongyang to cover an international youth soccer tournament.

However, this is the first time the fact that MBC left equipment in North Korea has been disclosed to the public.

Ambassador Tan told News & Post that he received this information from "a rather reliable source."

If this claim is true, MBC has clearly violated UN sanctions against North Korea, and the international community should hold them accountable.

Ambassador Tan added during his lecture that day, "If the UN and the U.S. are serious about our sanctions, we need to take action and investigate MBC."

Furthermore, he argued that the U.S. government should create a whitelist for individuals who are risking their lives to reveal the truth, including Hwang Kyo-ahn, leader of the Liberty and Innovation Party, and Yoo Dong-gyu, former head of planning at the Seongnam Development Corporation. Yoo Dong-gyu's sister was present at the event and received applause from the audience.

He stated, "The U.S. government must protect people like Hwang Kyo-ahn and Yoo Dong-gyu. The U.S. must have a whitelist to protect individuals who are targeted by the South Korean government."

Ambassador Tan added, "I believe the U.S. intelligence community should receive all information about what kind of person Lee Jae-myung actually is from Yoo Dong-gyu. This is not a legitimate president of South Korea. This person is simply a criminal."

Ambassador Tan said, "If they continue to try to keep Yoo Dong-gyu in prison, the U.S. government should say, 'No. As the U.S. government, we want to invite him here.' We have a special purpose for doing so."

The lecture, held under the theme "South Korea, Awaken to the Truth!", featured former National Assembly member Min Kyung-wook and CEO Jeon Han-gil as speakers, who passionately discussed the truth of electoral fraud in South Korea and the struggle against illegal leftist forces.

KCPAC will hold an "Emergency National Salvation Lecture" on Sunday, November 9th, at 4 PM in the Bisco Hall of the Chicago Korean Cultural Center, and similar events will be held in California on November 14th (Friday) and 15th (Saturday).

Meanwhile, Ambassador Mosstan will hold a "Special Situation Lecture" on Saturday, November 8th, at 2 PM at the Atlanta Korean Association Hall, upon the invitation of the Syngman Rhee Founding President Memorial Association (President Yoo Myeong-hwa) and the Atlanta Chapter of AKUS (President Oh Dae-gi).
