Son Heung-min (LAFC) scored a goal in the Major League Soccer (MLS) playoffs Western Conference Semifinals, marking his 11th goal of the season.

On November 23 (Korean time), Son Heung-min scored a goal in the 15th minute of the second half to narrow the deficit to 0-2 against the Vancouver Whitecaps in the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Semifinal held at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada.

This is Son Heung-min's 11th goal since joining LAFC in August and playing in MLS.

This is Son Heung-min's second consecutive game with a goal for his team, following his one goal and one assist in the first round, second leg match against Austin on the 3rd.

As the team trailed by two goals in the first half, in the 15th minute of the second half, after Mark Delgado's cross was flicked on by Andrew Morán, Son Heung-min unleashed a right-footed shot. After being saved by the goalkeeper, he took two more shots, ultimately breaking through the opponent's defensive wall and firing the signal for a comeback.

With Son Heung-min's goal, LAFC is now trailing 1-2.

LAFC must win this match to continue their challenge for the playoff championship.

MLS divides its 30 teams into Eastern and Western Conferences for the regular season, after which the top eight teams from each conference advance to the playoffs to determine the champion through a tournament.

The first round, corresponding to the 'Conference Quarterfinals,' was a best-of-three series, while the Conference Semifinals, Finals, and Championship Final are all single-elimination matches.

LAFC finished third in the Western Conference regular season and defeated Austin in the first round of the playoffs. Vancouver, who entered the playoffs as the second seed in the West, defeated Dallas in the first round to reach the Conference Semifinals.
