A shooting incident at a banquet hall in Stockton, California, resulted in four deaths and 10 injuries, the Associated Press reported on the 29th (local time), citing local police.

Heather Brent, a spokesperson for the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, stated during a press briefing that there were also children among the victims.

The identities of the suspects or victims, as well as the motive for the crime, have not yet been specifically disclosed.

The police spokesperson explained, "Initial circumstances suggest this incident may have been a targeted crime."

The victims were attending a family gathering at the time of the shooting.

The shooting occurred inside the banquet hall, which shares a parking lot with other businesses.
