Ambassador Kim told reporters this after a closed-door meeting with First Vice Minister Park Yun-ju at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul this morning, adding, "That is our current Korea policy."
The NSS of the second Trump administration, released on the 5th (local time), completely omitted any mention of North Korea, including the goal of denuclearization.

He mentioned that during his meeting, Minister of Unification Jeong Dong-young emphasized cooperation between South Korea and the U.S., and Minister of National Defense Ahn Gyu-baek highlighted the importance of ROK-U.S. combined exercises, saying, "We will continue these meetings with senior South Korean officials."
When asked if there had been discussions regarding the ROK-U.S. Atomic Energy Agreement Task Force (TF) and whether the U.S. is open to revising the agreement, Ambassador Kim only replied, "It is still under discussion," and "We will do our best to implement the fact sheet."
