Kim Min-jeon, a member of the People Power Party, is drawing attention with a post stating, "While the domestic media remains silent, there are ongoing suspicions and controversies regarding the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) and its potential connection to election fraud allegations worldwide."
Kim stated, "It is regrettable that an international organization established under the leadership of Korea's National Election Commission is embroiled in such controversy," uploading related content to Facebook on the 25th.
An irony where an organization for election development hinders development
He expressed his regret, saying, "An organization established with the goal of promoting global democracy and electoral systems is now facing suspicions of the opposite."
He also emphasized the irrationality of electronic voting systems by citing examples from other countries.
"In 2009, the German Constitutional Court ruled electronic voting systems unconstitutional. Furthermore, the Netherlands, which began preparations in the 1960s and implemented electronic vote counting and tabulation in the 1980s, faced numerous challenges regarding its electronic systems. Ultimately, after several verification processes and demonstrations, they abolished the electronic vote counting and tabulation system in 2007."
Kim concluded his post by stating, "The tragedy of A-WEB stems from its indirect contribution(?) to the spread of electronic vote counting and tabulation systems that have already been abandoned by most Western democracies."
Overseas news treated as conspiracy theories in Korea
As of January 2026, there are several international election fraud-related issues that are frequently discussed in overseas media and political circles but are not given significant coverage by Korean media.
On January 21, 2026, during his speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, U.S. President Donald Trump officially addressed international election fraud issues, warning, "Those involved in election fraud will be prosecuted imminently."
However, most media outlets, excluding the Hankook Ilbo, failed to report on this or dismissed it as a conspiracy theory or political rhetoric.
Prior to these remarks, President Trump stated, "The people need strong borders, strong and free and fair elections, and ideally fair and good media, but the current media is terrible and very biased. The media is gradually losing credibility, so it will be sorted out someday."
Meanwhile, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently stated that it possesses overwhelming evidence that the 2020 U.S. elections were stolen by a global election fraud cartel.
Specifically, it was revealed that "the international election fraud cartel is linked to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which operates entirely on U.S. taxpayer money, the U.S. Democratic Party, and A-WEB, which operates in foreign countries (including Korea)."
Furthermore, it was exposed that "the international election fraud cartel has been accused of creating and distributing fake identification cards and fake ballots, and of remotely accessing servers and terminals to alter and manipulate election results. These methods are a blueprint used to promote communism in various countries through diverse means, including election fraud, propaganda, incitement, and riots."
The highlight is the statement: "USAID and A-WEB are linked not only to about 100 countries including Korea, Canada, Brazil, Australia, and Iraq, but also all the costs were paid by U.S. taxpayers."
While many are expressing surprise and concern at the mention of Korea, the mainstream media remains silent.
Few Koreans are aware of the activities of the International Election Monitoring Team (IEMT) in the United States.
In June 2025, cybersecurity and security experts, including former U.S. State Department Ambassador Morse Tan, held a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., under the name of the International Election Monitoring Team (IEMT).
On this day, a report was released pointing out statistical discrepancies and issues with the transparency of electronic vote counting systems in elections in various countries, including Korea. However, domestic mainstream media remained silent on all these contents.
A political commentator stated, "The United States does not help Korea without reason. However, if Korea was involved in global election fraud with American money due to America First policies, they would not stand idly by. Even now, the mainstream media must awaken and report accurately."
